About Alumni Cells

AGMRCET is the officially registered Alumni association of A.G.M Rural College of Engineering and Technology. The association got registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act 17, 1960. Alumni Association creates and maintains a life-long connection between the Institute and its alumni. Anyone who has completed four academic years as a student at AGMRCET is eligible for life membership. The alumni meet will be conducted yearly once, wherein the passed-out students share their views with their juniors and give suggestions towards the betterment of career development including non-technical aspects.

Objectives

In order to ensure transparency, prevent unfair practices and to provide a mechanism to innocent students for redressal of their grievances, grievance Redressal cell is formed. In exercise of the power conferred under Clause 1 of Section 23 of the All India Council for Technical Education, Act, 1987 (52 of 1987), and as per the AICTE regulations the college has the ‘Grievance Redressal Committee’ (GRC) consisting of a Chairperson and Six members. Grievance Redressal Committee facilitates the Redressal of in fair and partial matter maintaining confidentiality. Any stakeholder of XIE with a genuine grievance may approach GRC.

Duties & Responsibilities

(i) Database Management: Maintain an updated database of all alumni. Ensure accurate and timely updates to alumni information.

(ii) Communication: Regularly communicate with alumni through newsletters, emails, and social media. Keep alumni informed about institutional developments, achievements, and upcoming events.

(iii) Event Coordination: Organize reunions, networking events, and other alumni gatherings. Facilitate guest lectures, webinars, and workshops led by alumni.

(iv)Mentorship Programs: Coordinate mentorship programs connecting alumni with current students. Organize career guidance sessions and industry talks.

(v) Career Services: Facilitate job placements, internships, and professional opportunities for students through alumni networks. Organize career fairs and recruitment events with alumni participation.

(vi) Recognition and Awards: Recognize and honor distinguished alumni for their achievements. Manage alumni awards and honors programs.

(vii) Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from alumni on institutional initiatives and events. Use feedback to improve alumni engagement strategies.

(viii) Alumni Portal Management: Maintain and update the alumni portal for registrations, discussions, and information exchange. Ensure the portal is user-friendly and accessible.

(ix) Fundraising and Development: Engage alumni in fundraising activities for institutional development. Coordinate alumni contributions and manage donation records.

(x) Alumni Network Expansion: Expand the alumni network by reaching out to new graduates. Encourage alumni to stay connected and actively participate in institutional activities.
